Relaxing holidays in Mende
Created and maintained by the same family since 1933, the “Café du Commerce” has just celebrated its 90th birthday, it remains the oldest of the Mendoza cafes. Nevertheless Commerce remains an intimate place, warm, friendly and festive at the same time, to look like an Alsatian bierstub and tavern, forming nooks where everyone finds his place. In a setting of enamelled plates, frescoes and stained glass, an authentic English phone booth has even found its place.
This place has been dedicated for several years to the boss’s passion: beer. A superb pressure draw throne masters on the counter of the establishment. Thus the Corsican beers of Brasserie Piètra installed in Bastia are in the spotlight with the pressure, but also the Christmas beer, the beer of Printemps as well as the beer of the moment which evolves according to the discoveries of the boss. In addition, the latter, co-founder of the Brasserie de Lozère “la 48”, will make you discover his selection of 11 craft beers. The café also has a terrace much appreciated by the Mendois and tourists with the arrival of the beautiful days. Possibility of restoration at noon only.
